Great article! I really enjoyed reading this and appreciated the example work weeks. One thing I do that feels like it doesn't count is watching Netflix in Spanish with Spanish subtitles. I know I mostly read the subtitles to be able to understand, and that feels like cheating. I was watching for awhile without the subtitles, but I wasn't really understanding -- even the slightest background noise makes it hard (and I have three kids running around at home so...).
Honestly, reading Spanish subtitles while following a Spanish-speaking show is solid input on two fronts at once! The 'cheating' feeling is so common, but enjoyment and ease don't cancel out the learning. Also, three kids running around is a completely legitimate reason to need subtitles 😄 You're staying connected to the language in a way that actually fits your life, which is exactly the point.
I feel like i should stop writing and just read your posts. Lol. I love your work.
Ha, I’ve had that exact thought about you and many other writers. We keep going anyway. Thank you for this.

I'll take the validation and keep on plugging along! 😁😁
