Congrats on all the learning you've done! You're probably getting so much more additional learing through your students that I bet you don't even track. It's fun to compare our tracked time to the past but it's important to look at the many ways we're improving instead of only focusing on the numbers.

Gosh, I hope so. Just today I was saying something I was unsure of while I was scribbling on the board and turned head to ask them if it was the right term to use. Luckily, they said yes! You're right about not focusing on the numbers. It's useful data but it isn't everything.

It's funny that you say that cause I always feel like I never dedicate enough time to language studies! At the same time, I could die tomorrow and don't want to be the person who just had her nose in textbooks, you know?
